I’m sure you’re already taken aback by the title of the book itself. There are quite a number of notions of this world that we have become accustomed to, that we have accepted as the norm, while in actual fact they are outside the Word and will of God, especially when it comes to finding a spouse.
Generally speaking, many of us take lightly the notion of finding the right life partner. The issue with that, however, is the dire consequences we endure as a result, which we could have avoided if we had the relevant knowledge in accordance with the Word of God. Men themselves don’t even know that a woman can prosper them. Juliet explains how valuable a woman is to the extent that she can prosper a man. In fact, she can prosper without a man. The Bible does say that it is the man that needs a helper. God saw the need for the man to have a helper.
It’s unfortunate how many men do not actually recognize the value of a woman, because if they did they would truly see the “good thing” and the “favour from the Lord” they obtain when they find a wife, as the Word of God says. Interestingly, it’s possible for man to not see the favour of the Lord in his wife, because there actually are “bad” wives out there. Juliet unpacked the distinction between good and bad wives, in correlation with the Word of God. It is here that a man would see the red flags and make wiser decisions when it comes to choosing a life partner.
Not only is it the man that chooses a spouse, but a woman can, too. There are qualities that both a man and woman should look into to confirm whether or not that person is the one to be with.

Knowing that marriage also builds families, there’s a chapter on parents and children. There are many things to consider, a lot that many parents overlook when it comes to children that Juliet shares. There is also wise teachings for children regarding their parents in accordance with God’s Word. The Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” [Proverbs 22:6]. The sooner we train them, the sooner they have the knowledge, the wiser the decisions they will make in future as they would be walking in the ways of the Lord that they had been taught.
