Meet the Founder

“When I was about 8 years old, I witnessed what triggered the brokenness that was already inside of me from the day my existence was discovered. Being raised by "GrandMama" (as I like to call her) didn’t seem abnormal to me until I was older and came to the knowledge of my reality. It is this brokenness, which lingered for much longer than it deserved, that I believe God used to birth my purpose through the company. After obtaining the Bcom Accounting degree in pursuit to be a chartered accountant, after I had quit post-graduate studies because of wanting to do something more purposeful and fulfilling with my life, it makes a lot more sense now why God’s answer to my prayer is the birth and existence of this company.”

With over 30 student blog posts (since 2014), 2 self published books, 4 books edited, and having spoken at 3 book launches including her own within a period of 3 years, Simthandile discovered that there's much more in her than just accounting and numbers with her BCom Accounting degree. She is the founder and managing director of Mpilo Publishing (Pty) Ltd, which was founded in March 2018.
